Sand VS Pine

After much constructive feedback (complain) from Mr Lim of the smell of the pine when mixed with the little rascals' urine, we decided to give cat sand a try. Bought one pack that comes in 8L to try. This sand clumps into a lump once contact with urine. The packaging looks really cut haha. It comes with lemon scent and it said to keep odour at bay with 9.99% dust free as stated on the pack. With anticipation, we poured the sand into the litter box while the little rascals await beside us.
Leaving up to its reputation for being adventerous, Orange decided to give the new litter scoop a sniff while Lala linger behind. Wasting no time in marking his territory, Orange walked into the litter box and does his business.

Lala finally realising that its harmless, comes out and wait outside the litter box. Impatiently wating for her turn and having to endure the wonderful hot fresh odour of Orange's output keke...

Mummy, Orange is taking his own sweet time! I can't stand the sight and smell... feeling giddy now somebody bring me the axe oil! gosh what did he eat men!! are u sure its lemon scented sure aren't smelling any lemon!

Lala: come out leh my turn my turn!!

Orange: what's the rush men! A man gotta freedom to answer his call of nature without you nagging away...

Great! its all his smell now... its like a mine field... must walk properly to avoid stepping on his smelling waste...

Ahh I found a spot here perfect...

Wooo... So great to be able to relieve myself.. holding my blabber for whole day for this moment has been worth it.. Hey what doing u? Are are u taking picture of me? (its really a great shot! did u see the jet of urine? Mr Lim says Im a pervert!)

Its been a few days since we started on the sand. Now we realise Orange is the messy toilet user... Boys will be boys.. He will be the one who scatters the sand everywhere outside the litter box as he comes out just like Mr Lim who... kaka... better stop my description here...

Its great not to hear Mr Lim constant nagging about the foul smell of wet pine. Changing the litterbox seems faster when compared to pine. However now the kitchen seems to be fill with a light stench of feaces smell at the moment smell has slowly radiate to living room... Also I do not like having the sand scattered all over the floor..

I personally still like the pine better as they don't get scattered so easily. Otherwise than having to endure the smell of the wet pine (not really a problem for me execpt u know who!) when changing, I don't smell anything when the little rascals feaces are left inside for long. Also find the pine able to control odour and does not smell anything when not changing it... Also I have a terrible thought that one day the little rascals might decide to use the clamped up sand (shape like ball) as a new toy to play around the house... horrors!

Now, Mr Lim starts to feel that the smell of wet pine is better than having the house fill with smell of feaces. Can't be having that kinda of smell when guest come to our house during CYN... Well, looks like its back to pine for us in the end.. As for the little rascals I guess it won't affect them much...

Meow,

So it's back to the good old pine huh? how nice and convenient if we could train the 3 little rascals to use the toilet. I mean REAL Toilet-trained. U know, like those videos on youtube about cats standing on the toilet bowl, positioning themselves at the edge for big or small business.... save money and effort to clean their litter....

You could try recycled paper litter - I used to use Breeder Celect, but recently changed to another cheaper, more odour-absorbent brand. It's not available on the market, but you can call this guy up to get it from him. 3 huge packs (bigger than Breeder Celect's largest pack of 30+ litres) for 80+ only. Drop me a mail and I will send u the contact.
