Who's the super loafer?

Mummy and daddy sure know how to enjoy life... they got a sofa, bed and chairs and all we got is Sally the basket to sleep in.. kinda unfair right...
Leaving us no choice but to improvise their furniture to suit our needs...

Today, we make a pact not to argue with one another and to share our favourite spot in the house with one another...

hey stop pushing against my paw..
Sleeping on the sofa in the daytime is not a bad place though not the best. Have to be there 1st to grab the best spot.. place can be bit noisy with distraction from mummy or daddy.. lucky I know the tactic to block out these distractions.

This swivel chair is a good place to sleep in especially when its tuck underneath the table. I can sleep the afternoon away cause its dark and I know mummy can't find me (used to)

Another favourite spot on the sofa.. the hand rest! The width and length is just right for my body... okie i know my leg is dangling out.. hmmm just did that on purpose to show off my slender leg keke.

We may not always see eye to eye on lots of things, but we definitely share the same standard on choosing a sleeping spot.. So who reach here 1st ah?

As you all should know by now, the famous top of the fridge spot found by ME first.. Best spot in the house.. estimated time for Mummy to find me: 5mins, Daddy: 7mins haha not to mention watching them go round the house looking for me...

Let me tell you, a cleaned dried towel is the best backing to lie on.. Wooo... the crisp of the towel rubbing against my body is like a massage.. Hmmm... Mummy don't agree with me though...

You see, baby sister can be such a copycat sometimes... Lala simply loves hogging the place that I set my eye on.. Lucky this time IM not MOVING MY BUTT haha

Cushion + human sitting on it = Comfort. I quickly hogged on it once Mummy moves away from the spot.. See my formula is right.. I fell right asleep on it..

The smell of new sheet is intoxicating... Never fails to put me in deep sleep within mins..

Sometimes when Im in a good mood, I extent my generosity to LaLa.. letting her lean on me

Okie I confess.. I only do this when mummy or daddy is around...

Basin are best for hot weather!! its concave part simply mould onto the contour of my body and the cooling surface brings down my body temperature.. Perfect.. but note: Not to use when Mummy or Daddy is inside unless you're having a blocked nose..

Another way to share the spot when each simply refuse to leave, sleep on opposite ends

Mummy's bag is a good place to tuck myself in.. I love leaving traces of me inside her bag so she can be reminded of me when she's outside hehe...

When you want a spot really BADLY.. try striking this pose and look at them earnestly...

It may not work well on Orange...Oh please, cutesy pose won't work on me

But it sure work well on Daddy and look where it got me! A spot on the bed beside Daddy! See, Im just practising my "Nah nah ni bu bu..I got the bed and you don't" look to Orange!

Guess who?

Hehe.. Its me! The ultimate best spot.. the place they took the longest to find me! In the wardrobe beside the clothes quiet and cozy.. Not even Lala can disturb me..

So who's the super loafer? Lala or me? Most importantly what's the prize for the winner??

Green for a day

Few months ago, Somebody in the office gave Mr Lim a money plant. He decided to bring it home to beautify the bathroom which he always complain was too dull.

It was a pity he thought too lightly about the watering part and even declared that it doesn't need any watering. The plant would be able to absorb the water from the moisture of the bathroom so he says...

Few weeks later...

the money plant started to show its gratitude to the owner by transforming its leaf "gold" Seems like the money plant is not absorbing the moisture from the bathroom well as claimed by Mr Lim.

As days goes by, leaves began torn and tattered and I start to wonder why..
On closer inspection, leave seems to be chewed by someone... Giant caterpillar??
Why am I not surprise... The usual culprit ~Orange aka the caterpillar... Seems like he decided to go on a detox by chewing on some greens!
Busy choosing the best juiciest leaf to chew on, he doesn't even realise Im taking picture of him!

He ate till his heart's content only to end up looking at this...
Gosh, I think Im gonna puke...

Lala hiding from a safe spot watching Orange...

And his tummy start to protest this it what I found... Ya i know its gross especially when I zoom all the way at it... guess he even threw out some of his breakfast... And look at the piece of leaf.. I guess Orange doesn't practice chewing his food well before swallowing..

To prevent further tummy upset, I decided to hang the money plant outside the window where it can get the maximum sunlight and rain... Orange was disappointed of course... kept starring at the plant... So near yet so far away...

One people one nation hmmm not true for cats

Yesterday was the day where every Singaporean come together as one to celebrate our Nation's 43rd birthday. It is also the day to remind ourselves to stay united as one nation irregardless of race, language or religious. So much for harmony for humankind.. too bad the cats weren't feeling so patriotic.

I went to my mum's house to watch the NDP on television with them. Guess who I saw?

Yup its Pingpong!! He was sitting in the middle of the lift landing as usual. I went over to give him a good head rub then he walked over to the front of the lift and patiently wait for it like the rest. The rest of the crowd who were also waiting for the lift were amused by his action and a kid begin to giggle saying "cat take lift".
True enough, the lift came and Pingpong was the 1st to walked in and stood by one corner in a cat-porcelain position. Too bad there was too many people in the lift and I couldn't take a picture but it was so cute.

The lift landed on my floor and to my delight, Pingpong walked out of the lift with me!!

Pingpong walked over to a plastic bag in the corner of the lift landing and make himself comfortable...
Again, I sneaked some of Ah sky's dry food for Pingpong to eat. Ah sky was sleeping... I was careful not to make any sound as I scooped the biscuit out onto a tissue all the time praying ah sky won't be awake by the scent of it... I guess yesterday's weather was simply too good for sleeping
Biscuit gone in a flash.. Hey did u see that clipped ear.. Pingpong's been sterilized!
A good body clean up after a hearty meal..

Cheers to Mr Lim, squatting patiently with the umbrella waiting for me and rewarded with a friendly snuggle from Pingpong.
Oh goody I finally captured a shot of Pingpong's stunning blue eyes!! Isn't he handsome...
Satisfied seeing him and capturing a front view of him, Mr Lim and I head over my mum's house to watch the NDP. A while later, my father got all excited and carried Ah Sky to the front gate... To my surprise, Pingpong was walking past our common corridor...
Sensing a stranger of its kind, Ah sky leaped up onto the front gate with his front paw in a bid to see. Standing by his side is my father stroking Ah Sky's head and telling him "see friend friend ah"

Ping pong stood still with blue eyes watching Ah sky intensely

And they just stood there frozen in time just watching one another...

Then they start having a growling competition.

Fearing that they would start to fight, I decided to carry Ah sky away while my father start to shoo Pingpong away..

But Ping pong seems to have other idea. Not at all bothered by the hostility shown by Ah sky. He choose to settle himself comfortably underneath our flowerpots.

Then Ah sky came over and start the staring business again...

After some shooing, Ping pong finally retaliated and sit further away from our house

While Ah sky sit on his comfy couch and looked at the door cautiously...

The scaredy cats

Last saturday, two two-legged strangers came over our house in the morning to do air-con maintainance. And the little rascals suddenly vanished. I called out for them name to no avail (nah.. doesn't work most of the time!) I went to the kitchen and found Orange without much effort...
He was hiding under the metal rack in the kitchen. Actually come to think of it. That was one of first spot he hid when he came into the household the very first time.
Suddenly our Oragne don't look so confident and aloof anymore. He looks at me wearily refusing to come out from his "safe" spot.
Next, I start looking for Lala.. now that can be quite tricky as there's quite a few places she can squeeze herself into.. given her slender figure...
Believe me.. She used to be able to squeeze herself into this tiny slot between the fridge and the cabinet... Well, there was of course in the past.. nowadays she has since abandon this hiding spot as it's been getting a bit of challange... if you know what i mean..
I even looked underneath the sofa, in the wardrobe, even the toilet and I still can't find her...
Then Mr Lim suggested to checked the washing machine... She can't have open up the lid and hid herself in right?
Then again, anything is possible right? There she is hiding not inside the washing machine but somehow she has found a new hiding spot... the space behind the washing machine. haha look at the things that had been dropped there and forgotten... now I know where are my scoops keke..
When the strangers are gone, Orange then cautiously crawled out from his hiding spot and stooped low staring towards the living room...

Are you sure they're gone?

Better check it for myself...

hmmm... can't seems to detect anything threatening.. hehe I bet im better at hiding myself than orange.. so not orginial to hiding oneself under the kitchen rack...
